Pixi by Petra’s been around for quite some time now. Unfortunately, I haven’t had a chance to try it out until recently. I’ve been hearing so many good things bout the brand from my favorite UK Youtubers so I was so excited when I finally got my hands on some of their products! Founded Swedish Makeup artist Petra Strand, Pixi by Petra is brand that was built upon the mission of bringing out the natural beauty of its users.

Of course, the best way to bring out one’s natural beauty is through carefully maintaining one’s skin. The secret to great makeup looks is great skin. That’s a fact. Here are some of my skincare routine’s newest additions from Pixi!

Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist

I use this deep hydration mist every morning before I begin my makeup routine. I spritz it on the face to calm some of the redness on the face. Of course, it doesn’t completely diminish all the redness but it helps! It does hydrate the face well but it shouldn’t be used as a replacement for moisturiser. I also bring this along with me as much as I can for times when my face needs that extra kick of hydration.

Pixi Rose Oil Blend

This super luxe face oil is easily one of my favorite items on this Pixi edit. I use it every night. I simply squeeze a few drop onto my moisturizer and apply the mixture onto my face. I love how it absorbs into the skin like silk, if that even makes sense! I hate it when my face has an oily residue. But this face oil seeps into the skin seemlessly. I wake up feeling fresh and replenished when I apply this oil the night before. :) Oh, and for those of you who love roses, you’re in for a treat because these really smell like roses.

Pixi Glow Peel Pads

Infused with 20% glycolic acid, these pads give effective exfoliation to reveal a bright, radiant and energized complexion. I use this once a week. I apply it the pad onto the face and neck, leave it for 2-3 minutes, then rinse with cool water. At first, I got worried because my face felt a slight tingling after application. Then I found out that it’s normal. Phew. I always wake up with a nicer complexion after using this! Do make sure to use SPF in the daytime when you use this product!

Pixi Moisturizing Cleansing Cloths

Cleansing cloths are a (lazy) girl’s best friend! They’re the EASIEST way to remove makeup. Infused with aloe vera, camellia and Argan oil, these cleansing cloths not only gently removes makeup but also leaves the skin refreshed and hydrated. These are perfect for removing everyday light makeup. But for full-on makeup, it’s best to use a stronger alternative. Personally, this comes in very handy right before I work out and I need to take off my makeup or even when I travel.
