Review: Pond’s Flawless White BB+

COVER FINAL p1011387

I’ll be honest I don’t have a very extensive knowledge when it comes to BB creams because I find the extensive amount of different BB creams available in the market today a tad bit too overwhelming. I was able to try out a total of three BB creams before I decided that I didn’t anything special about them. I reckoned that they were just like normal foundations with extremely limited shade options.

I thought I was already done with BB creams UNTIL I came across the Pond’s Flawless White BB+. Rem from Beautybook.ph sent me a sample of the BB cream for the article I wrote for them. I have to say, I would never have even bothered to glance at the product on my own since I have this mental “off” switch for BB creams. But I’m so glad that I was able to try it in a way by accident because the product is pure perfection. It’s changed my life, seriously. This is not a sponsored review but I really think that this product deserves the spotlight so here goes!

The product itself has a light to medium coverage and a semi-thick and creamy consistency. It doesn’t make me feel like I’m clogging my pores. However, what I really love about this product is that it really does its job in making my skin flawlessly white and radiant in the most natural way imaginable. It has a perfect semi-matte finish and it blends seamlessly into the skin and looks like second skin almost immediately.  I received compliments from my friends in school but what really amazed me was when I received a compliment from a guy friend of mine. We all know how guys rarely bat a lash/notice when it comes to girls changing their appearances, so that must be a good sign!

I know that some people like to use BB creams as bases for the foundation but I’m already so impressed with just wearing this on its own. Although it doesn’t cover up major pimples and major imperfections, it evens out the skin tone well and it’s got the occasional zit covered.

It has a very faint scent that I can’t describe but it’s a pleasant scent. It lasted the entire day on my skin without any unfortunate cases of oxidizing or anything of the sort. I have normal skin but all my classes are not air-conditioned which is why I just touch up my face 1-2 a day.  On days when I don’t need to be under the sun, I can go all day without having to do a touch up. The SPF 30++ doesn’t hurt too!

Final Thoughts

I was so pleasantly surprised at how this really affordable BB cream genuinely impressed me. It has been quite some time since I had an accidental discovery like this, which is why I simply cannot stop raving about it. I was even advertising to friends in person! The only issue I think that this product has is its limited range of shades. If however you find a match for your skin tone, I urge you to give this a try! It might give your high-end BB creams a run for their money.
