I’ve never really spoken about this anywhere online or to friends but one of my own blog’s biggest personal inspirations is Project Vanity—one of the country’s leading beauty blogs. I’ve been following Liz’s blog ever since my college days and her blogs reviews have enabled a lot of my beauty purchases. I’ve always loved her direct-to-the-point beauty reviews as but what I enjoyed reading the most is her occasional opinion-based articles. I’ve seriously been a long-time fan which is why when I first got to meet her this year, I couldn’t help but feel star struck and tell her I’m a huge fan of her blog! Hahaha. So when I found out that Project Vanity has partnered with one of the country’s top local beauty brands, Pink Sugar I was beyond excited to get my hands to the products!
Together, they came up with the Pink Sugar x Project Vanity These Lips Don’t Lie Matte Lip Crayon (P399) which centers around the little white lies we, women like to tell. The entire line comes with four different shades:
Nothing to wear, Love at First Swipe, Woke Up Like This, Ready in Five
Woke Up Like This is a muted pink “my lips but better” (MLBB) shade that is designed to look flattering on all skin tones. It’s a versatile color that can be worn to an important work presentation or to a first date! It’s also my personal favorite shade!
Love At First Swipe is a peachy cocoa, a fresh take on the brown lip trend. It’s dramatic yet wearable for everyday.
Ready In Five is a brightening perky pink that’s bound to cheer you up even in the gloomiest of days. A girl can’t go wrong with this modern pink color! This is also Liz’s personal favorite from the collection because the shade is an ode to Project Vanity’s signature pink color.
Nothing To Wear, a sexy deep plum, is set to be a new staple at formal parties or even a normal run to the grocery.
Aside from this exciting release, Pink Sugar has also come up with the Honey, I’m Good Eyebrow Kit, a perfect complement to their first eyebrow product introduced recently, the Honey, I’m Good Eyebrow Gel. For only, P399, this quad contains a highly pigmented brow wax and three soft brow powders to help achieve the ultimate #browsonfleek.
The Honey I’m Good Eyebrow Kit comes in two variants – Perfect Taupe and Sassy Brown. What I love the most about these kits is that you can mix and match the shades to match your hair color.
To top everything off, Pink Sugar has added three new shades to their HD lipstick line:
Butter is a creamy pink nude that looks great even on morena skin.
Sinful is a muted rose brown.
Wicked is a muted mauve.
Each comes at only P299 a pop. The formula of these lippies is off the charts. It contains Vitamin E and Shea butter, which makes the lippie glide onto the lips like butter!
Final Thoughts
Overall, I’m so happy with Pink Sugar’s new releases. My top picks from the new releases are Woke Up Like This and Sinful. As for the brow kits, I love Perfect Taupe. This Pink Sugar x Project Vanity collaboration is such a huge milestone for the beauty blogging world as it is the first of its kind and I hope that it becomes a trailblazer for more beauty blogger and beauty brand collaborations.
