Where To Eat at SM Mall of Asia’s North Wing

DSCF7066

The only type of crawling you’ll ever get to make me do is food crawlin’. HEHE ever since I started blogging, food crawls have always been one of my favorite types of events because, duh. Food is lyf. So, when I was invited to SM Mall of Asia’s North Wing launch / food crawl, I immediately agreed without any hesitations.

SM Mall of Asia’s North Wing has a mix of new and familiar names that makes for the perfect balance of gastronomic discoveries as well as comforting indulgences.

The new wing has a number of new restaurants, some of them soon to open. But we got to try out specialty dishes from NINE of them. Here’s what we had:

Tenya

Tenya is a classic Japanese restaurant that specializes in Tempura style dishes. We were served tempura samples in form of Salmon, Ebi and Kani. Ever since I got back from Japan, I’ve been craving for tendon with special Tare sauce and Tenya serves it so it was the perfect start for a mega hungry Maxie.

Basil

Basil is one of my favorite restaurant for Pad Thai and it’s so nice to know that they’ve gone so far ever since their humble beginnings at White Plains. Don’t forget to try their pad thai (it’s very chewy, which I love) and their Crispy Fish with 3-flavored sauce.

Boteyju

Botejyu is one of the most popular places for Okonomiyaki in Japan and we’re so lucky to now have a chance to try it here in Manila! I got to try the Boteyju Salad, All star Okonomiyaki, Premium Moonlight Okosoba, and Amiyaki Pork Rice Bowl.

Morganfields

Hailing all the way from Malaysia, Morganfield’s is known as the “Home of Sticky Bones”. It’s an American BBQ restaurant that specializes in ribs! Guests of the event were lucky to try their newest flavor, Inasal pork ribs.

Tenren Tea DSCF7063

One of Taiwan’s most famous tea chains specializes in honest to goodness tea infused with fresh fruits with zero artificial flavoring and transfat! Some of their bestselling drinks are Green tea with Fresh Fruits, Green Tea Mango Slush, 914 King’s oolong Tea, and Black Milk Tea with Pearls. But my personal favorite would have to be the green tea soft serve!

When Papermoon first arrived in the Philippines, I was among the first who excitedly lined up to try it with my foodie friends. I was surprised to find out that they now serve a whole line of flavors for their signature mille crepe such as Ube, Cheese, Matcha, Chocolate, Mango, Etc. And aside from these, they now serve a gorgeous Strawberry Shortcake and Checkered Cake.

Some of the other gastronomic finds that may be found in the North Wing are: Agos by Chef Tatung (Filipino-Spanish Cuisine), Tori-Ichi Yakitory Bar (Japanese Yakitori Bar from Kyoto) , and Fiery Style Southwestern Grill (Mexican)DSCF7054 DSCF7031 unnamed (2)

By the end of the food crawl, I was already crawling in my head from all the food I had ingested. I’m still surprised by the amount of food I was able to eat, wah! SM MOA’s North Wing is definitely the mall’s newest food destination. There’s so many good finds in the new wing! I highly encourage you guys to create your own mini food trip in the area. But I dare you to try them in one go! ;)

Xoxo,
