Grey hair has got to be one of the biggest trends this year and I’ve always wanted to try it myself. I’ve been quite adventurous with my hair color choices but it’s probably my first time to actually try something this daring. I also just came from the end of a four year relationship. So it was just fitting that I go for a complete makeover. ;)

Of course, I headed to my trusted hair color artist and friend Miguel of Hairshaft to make my #tumblrhairdreams come true. Here’s how it turned out!

Styling 

I’ve been so used to my regular ash brown hair color that I failed to realize that a lot of my makeup looks and clothes revolved around matching my hair style. My new hair color meant having to buy a new brow pencil, adjusting my makeup style and also going for more neutral fashion pieces.

Maintenance

To maintain the color of my hair, I only wash my hair 3-4 times a week at the most with a purple shampoo. On other days, I just use my Batiste Dry Shampoo. Once a week, I treat my hair with a mask. Also, I make sure to spray on heat protecting sprays every time I heat-style my hair.
