Falling Head Over Heels With MAC Mehr

    DSCF0666

My first few makeup hauls when my love affair with makeup was beginning to blossom involved me buying bullet after bullet of MAC lipsticks all of which I ordered online. Ever since, I’ve never had any MAC lipstick hauls anymore and just occasionally buy tubes here and there (and even witht his restraint, a huge majority of my lipsticks are from MAC).  Because I want to try as much shades and formulas from other brands too! This is why I was so happy when my close friend Isa gave me MAC Mehr as a birthday present when she found out that Mehr was on my must-buy list! Thank you Lord for giving me friends whoo understand the makeup-addiction-struggle.

    DSCF0666
    Shade

Ever since MAC Heroine and Evening rendezvous broke me out of my pink-nude color spectrum rut, this has been the only lipstick in the pinky nude lipstick army that’s had the ability to shake me out of my love for my bold colored lipsticks. Seriously guys, it’s so good! MAC describes it as a “dirty blue pink”. And I agree. I used to buy lipsticks that look good on the tube, aka colors that look good to my eyes. But after a lot of errors, I’ve grown to learn that more than usually, ugly looking lipsticks in tubes (brownish pinks) look more flattering on me than the typical girly pink shades. The shade applies a tad bit deeper than the usual MLBB shade because my natural lip color isn’t as pigmented as others. But I still would consider it as a PERFECT everyday pink shade.

    DSCF0668

As for dupes, I think it’s very similar to Urban Decay’s Lipstick Revolution in Fiend. Fiend is a lot more moisturizing and glossy while Mehr is a tad bit deeper, browner. I’m currently liking Mehr over Fiend because my Fiend lipstick has a really weird rusty smell which I’m guessing is coming from its packaging. What’s so weird is that my UD lippie in anarchy which I bought at the same time as fiend smells perfectly fine.

    DSCF0671

    Left: Mehr, Right: Fiend

    Formula

One of the most iconic matte shades from MAC is Ruby Woo, which also happens to be one of the driest matte lipsticks I’ve ever encountered. This is why I have always had the impression that Matte lipsticks from MAC are dry as an overbaked red velvet cake, making me essentially allergic to MAC’s Matte formulations. I was so surprised to realize that Mehr is anything but dry. In fact, it’s as creamy as a matte lipstick can be without actually dropping its matte status. It doesn’t tug on my lips as well. I’m not saying that my dry lips are completely immune to this matte formulation because I still have to take the necessary steps to moisturize mah lips.

    Longevity

I eat a lot… but I’m happy to report that this can survive a full meal of eating and drinking with minor touch ups. With proper lip preparations, this stay on and doesn’t flake my lips out.

    DSCF0663

    Final Thoughts

Overall, I just love the specific matte formulation of this lipstick and of course, its shade is utterly divine. I like shades that I can wear with different makeup looks and this is definitely one of them.

    Etude House Mini Haul

    DSCF4051 (1)

Etude House is one of the Korean brands that I like to dabble in once in a while. To be honest, I always get so lost in the gazillion products that Korean brands offer. It also doesn’t help that they aren’t reviewed as much online. Most of the time, i buy products based on research but when it comes to Asian cosmetics, I tend to just go with my gut and buy whatever that catches my attention in the store. Two items that caught my eye during my most recent trip to Etude House were the Tear Drop Liner #2 and the Color in Liquid Lips BE102.

    DSCF4051 (1)

Tear Drop Liner #2 The tear drop trend is one of the beauty trends that is uniquely Asian. The Western side of the world has a counter part to this trend by highlighting the inner corner of the eyes using shimmery eyeshadows or eyeliners. But only Asian cosmetics have created a liquid liner specifically to emphasize the inner tear duct of the eye. Cool, eh? The product is housed in regular eyeliner container and contains a clear base with multicolored micro shimmer. The consistency is slightly thick and semi-sticky.

    DSCF4102 (1)

I was actually looking to find a cheaper alternative to Urban Decay’s Heavy Metal Liners for a shimmery pop of glitter to line the lids. It swatched fine so I decided to give it a try. However, upon trying it again at home, I found that the product isn’t ideal for my intended purpose. It doesn’t show up very much on the lid, and takes some time to dry up which results into smudging my eye makeup. But it does its job well as an inner tear duct highlighter. It definitely gives my eyes an instant pop of glitter. I just wish it has more staying power. But it’s a nice product to have for special occasions.

    DSCF4075 (1)

    Color in Liquid Lips BE102

Liquid lipsticks are all the rage right now and I knew that I had to try Etude House’s version. The line features 20 gorgeous and highly pigmented shades.  The packaging is adorable and is very trendy as well. It showcases the shade of each lipstick which will make it easy to find in my pool of lipsticks. I also like how it’s made the illusional-floating-lipstick design that we’ve seen in other brands its own.

    DSCF4100 (1)

The first thing I noticed as I applied the product is its scent. It smells like cotton candy jelly beans! I seriously want to just keep on smelling it. Next up is its formulation. The product is a thin liquid lipstick and is super pigmented at the same time. The applicator is also designed beautifully because it applies the product onto my lips in a precise manner. When applied, the product feels like a fine liquid lipstick but dries out and settles into the lips after a few minutes. Once it settles, it feels like a regular moisturizing lipstick, which means that it doesn’t dry out completely into a matte lipstick. The  shade I picked is a warm rosy pink which fits my everyday-lipstick-shade obsession. The staying power is average but is undrstandable considering that it’s not a matte lipstick.

    DSCF4080 (1)

Overall, I’m really impressed with this lipstick. It’s a good alternative to many high end liquid lipsticks and the huge selection of shades ensure that there’s something for everyone in this liquid lipstick line.

    Final Thoughts

Like always, I enjoyed trying out new products from Etude House. The princess theme is so M E and they always churn out a huge variety of makeup, skincare, hair care, and more. It’s impossible to go in an Etude House boutique and leave without buying anything. Of the two products, I highly recommend the Color in Liquid Lips! It’s such a good product and is quite affordable too. You can’t lose with a product like this.

My Picks from MAC’s Magic of The Night Holiday Collection

    DSCF9825 copy

Loving, collecting, hoarding makeup is one of the quickest ways to drain one’s bank account. I’ve been at this game for years, so I try to make sure to get my loot at the best price possible. This means patiently waiting for friends, relatives, and friends of friends (during desperate times) to go abroad and fulfill my makeup longings. However, there are times when certain pieces of makeup arrive in the Philippines and I just have to let go of my restraint completely because chances are, these makeup items will be difficult to procure abroad anyway. This also happens quite often during my moments of weakness when I’m dazzled by makeup pieces from here and there.

MAC collections A L W A Y S get me to let go of this carefully disciplined restraint of mine. One timely example is their 2015 holiday collection, Magic of The Night. Gosh, I mean.. how can I not grab a few pieces from the collection after I’ve been teased every single day of my life on social media ever since it was released abroad. So the moment it was out here in Manila, I immediately went straight to Rockwell right after my Plana Forma session, in gym clothes, flip flops and all.

    DSCF9825 copy

I always go for the single pieces that are displayed at the most prime location of the store vs the holiday sets because I just feel like these are the stars of each MAC  holiday collection. It’s just how I feel about the products, and I don’t know it for a fact. teehee. Also, I prefer having control over the pieces of makeup I buy. With the help of my friend Keith at MAC Rockwell, I ended up with purchasing the Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Oh, darling and Matte Lipstick in Midnight Rendezvous.

    Extra Dimension Skinfinish Oh Darling

Despite knowing that this is similar to one of my favorite highlighters of all time aka MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Whisper of Gilt (also limited edition), I still decided to get Oh Darling because it suits my skin tone over the darker highlight shade in the collection, and the quality of the product is insane. I’d like to tell myself that the gorgeous platinum blue packaging did not influence my decision at all, but it did.

    DSCF9862

The shade is a vibrant champagne gold and looks like a diluted liquid gold when swatched on my skin. It is very similar to Whisper of Gilt with Oh Darling being a touch golder. But honestly, if I randomly apply one shade one each of my cheeks, I would not be able to tell the difference. The powder itself is exquisite and applies to the skin beautifully. I would say both are close dupes to each other and those who were not able to snag Whisper of Gilt will be delighted to know that Oh Darling can give them the same love and happiness that Whisper of Gilt could have given them. I don’t mind having both because I’m a sucker for highlighters and I’m close to hitting pan on Whisper of Gilt anyway. I have to say though, these Extra Dimension Skinfishes are difficult as hell to use up. I’ve had it for a while now so I do feel that I’ve already gotten my money’s worth.

    DSCF9864

    Matte Lipstick Evening Rendezvous

I’m allergic to Matte formulations but sometimes, mesmerising platinum purple packaging with matching gorgeous limited edition shades make people do crazy things. Evening Rendezvous is the only lipstick in the collection that is limited edition. The other three (Please me, All fired up, and Dark Side) are all part of the permanent line. I was also hesitant to get a purple shade because Heroine did not suit me AT ALL but Keith convinced me to try it out and voilà, I fell for it.

    DSCF9826

The shade is a deep reddish purple which is a lot more muted compared to Heroine, which is a bright orchid purple shade. With proper exfoliating and moisturizing, I make it work on my dry lips. It definitely makes a bold statement when worn but isn’t as loud as Heroine. I think it’s a very romantic shade and I can imagine wearing it to a dinner date. But I’ve also worn it during daytime by keeping everything else in my face neutral. I’m obsessed with this shade and have been wearing it often. I have to say, this shade may have broken my very long bold-lipstick-dry-spell. Since it’s a matte formula, it’s very long lasting as well.

    DSCF9865

Over the two items, this is the product I’m more excited about because I’m certain that more women with different skin tones can rock the hell out of this shade. I’m fair-medium skin and I think I look great in it. I’m also sure that women with deeper skin tones will s l a y this shade as well.

    Overall
    DSCF0571

I really like this collection. The packaging alone is enough of a reason to check the products out AND it has a nice lineup of products. I was even able to try on some shadows from the palette and I was really impressed with the quality of the shadows.

My only concern from the lipstick addict within me is that I wish they had included more limited edition lipstick shades since this is in my opinion, one of the most awaited collections yearly. I could have bought more shades had there been more limited edition ones. Although, it might be a blessing in disguise too since the lack of limited edition shades restrained me from hoarding.

Overall, everyone is bound to find something they love in this massive collection. Make sure to check it out ASAP since stocks are running out like hot pancakes.

    DSCF0584

Do let me know what you think about the products you picked out from the collection!

Happy Skin Beauty in Bloom Collection

    DSCF4131 (2)

I’m a very confusing person sometimes. I tend to go along with some hypes, but on others, I prefer to stay stubborn and not get carried away by the hype. This is exactly what happened with me when it comes to Happy Skin Cosmetics. The hype is crazy and I found nothing wrong with the products themselves as I tried them out in the Happy Skin counters. But I unconsciously chose to go against the hype for a while. Until I recently decided that I finally wanted to step into the world of Happy Skin when I saw the most irresistible packaging in the world through the Summer Beauty in Bloom Collection! I knew that it was already from an older collection, but I decided to go for it anyway because I’m like to think I’m a bad ass like that.

I know that a lot of you might already be acquainted the fabulousness of Happy Skin’s moisturizing lippies but I’m going to give my 2 cents anyway for those stubborn ones like me who haven’t tried out Happy Skin’s products yet!

    DSCF4179

    Packaging

Like I said, what drew me to purchase this product is its beyond beautiful packaging. Happy Skin has come up with a lot of beautiful packagings, don’t get me wrong. But this one appealed to me the most because I’m a girly girl to the bone..marrow and I just couldn’t resist it’s matte-floral-box packaging!

    DSCF4131

    Shade, Formula

Another reason why I decided to purchase this product was because of the shades of lippies it contains. This Shut up and Kiss Me set includes two limited edition shades: Bride to be and Hold my Hand. Bride to Be is a very neutral rosey carnation pink while Hold my Hand is a deeper brownish pink. However, Bride to Be doesn’t register well on me with my considerably light hair color. Hold my Hand is the perfect everyday pink for me but registers with a hint of when I wear it.

    DSCF4216 (1)

Hold my Hand (left) and Bride to Be (right)

These are one of the best if not the best local lipstick formula in the market in my honest opinion. The product glides on my lips like Le Beurre d’Echiré butter! It’s as good as a moisturizing lippie can get but it also stays on very comfortably.

    Moisturizing Power and Longevity

    DSCF4137

The formula of these lippies are definitely top notch. Their moisturizing power immediately make these lippies best friends with my perpetually dry lips. Although it does not stay as long as a matte lippie, it stays longer than usual compared to other lippies that are tagged as moisturizing.

    DSCF9233

    hold my hand

    DSCF9239

    Bride to Be

    Final Thoughts

I can’t believe I waited this long to try Happy Skin products! I love the formulation of these lippies, the packaging is always TDF, and they offer a huge range of shades with Filipinas  in mind. I can’t wait to try more products!

    Beauty Bar Edit

    DSCF7605

Beauty Bar is one of the places in the mall that automatically reels me in, the moment its light blue interiors and shiny clear glass doors get on my radar. It carries such a wide array of brands, it’s I M P O S S I B LE to leave the store without a shopping bag in hand.

Now, after yet another break from blogging, I return bearing gifts– my newest finds from Beauty Bar.

    DSCF7605

    YADAH Silky Fit Concealer BB

    DSCF7612

This YADAH Silky Fit Concealer BB is a light coverage BB cream that is perfect for everyday use. YADAH has two kinds of BB creams: for brightening and for sensitive skin. The consistency is a bit thicker than a makeup base. It blends easily into my skin and settles comfortable as well. Since it has a light coverage, this is perfect for those who don’t really like to wear makeup or for those who don’t have problematic skin and want something for everyday use. I think it’s great for days when I want to just look put together, but not over-made up. For those with oily skin, I would recommend them to set this with powder foundation. But for those with normal skin, this BB cream can stand alone great on its own.

The Balm Read My Lips “Snap”

    DSCF7615

This is my ultimate favorite find from this entire edit. I have said this before and now I’m about to eat my words. I used to H A T E lipglosses because I’ve found them very tacky and uncomfortable on the lips. But this gloss applies so beautifully on my lips and settles quite comfortably as well. The shade is a gorgeous nude shade that makes my lips look oh-so-luscious. It’s something I’d wear on a normal day but would also look amazing with a smokey eye look. I just L O V E how it immediately gives my lips that extra oomph it needs.

Billion Dollar Brows Clear Brow Gel

    DSCF7629

My lack of brows hair has made me a huge brow product hoarder. But I have never had the chance to try out a clear brow gel just because I never felt the need to keep my virtually non-existent brows in place. Although this product does not necessarily serve its purpose like it does on other women, I find that it serves a new purpose for me– setting my brow pencil and powder in place. This clear brow gel seals in the brow products I apply since brow products tend to fade on me towards the end of the day. The gel itself isn’t tacky and is comfortable to wear. I think it would work great on taming unruly brows as well.

The Balm Brow Pow Light Brown

    DSCF7619

Like most of The Balm’s powder products, this brow powder is just as finely milled as its powder counterparts. I normally use pencils to outline the shape of my brows and use brow powders to fill in my brows. This applies effortlessly onto my brows because of its super silky consistency. However, its a tad bit lighter than my hair color as of the moment. But I think this would be come in handy for the day I dye my hair lighter (which is very soon!).

    Art Deco Sunshine Glow Fluid

    DSCF7623

It’s been a years since my last encounter with Artdeco products. I didn’t have a good experience with their shadows back then. But I was pleasantly pleasantly surprised to find myself liking this illuminator/highlighter fluid. I’m a big fan of all shapes and forms of highlighters. I was hesitant with this highlighter because I initially found it too bronzey for me. But when used properly, it helps bring out another dimension on my face. I dab small spots of the product onto the edge of my cheekbones and carefully blend it out to help my face give off a natural glow. My only gripe with this product is that the nozzle pumps out way to many product for my liking. I would recommend those with fair skin to use this sparingly and only on the edge of their cheekbones. But I think this would be a great makeup based for those with medium to dark skin. It would also be perfect to mix with foundation. Overall, I think this is a great product for both fair and medium to dark skin toned women. It’s just the matter of knowing how to use it.

Maybelline New York Fashion Week Collection 2015

    DSCF7537

Setting foot on New York Fashion Week has got to be every girl’s dream. While it’s a dream that isn’t easily attainable by everyone in the near future, Maybelline’s got us all wide-eyed girls and boys covered.  Yes, you read that right. Maybelline New York bringing us the products needed to create the latest beauty trends fresh off the runway through their New York Fashion Week 2015 Collection.

    DSCF7537

Maybelline White Superfresh Foundation SPF 34 PA+++  Encased in a super sleek and minimalist packaging with the bottom completely see-though, the Maybelline White Superfresh Foundation is described as a “no touch up” foundation. It claims to perform as such because of its special ingredient, Mineral Perlite which allows the powder to absorb oil more stronger than regular talc. It comes in four shades:02 Nude Beige, 03 Natural, 04 Honey, and 05 Sand Beige which is quite limited, I have to say. However, this product has more winning moments than my one gripe about it. Considering that I have normal skin, I required virtually no touch ups when testing it. And the powder did flawless shine control as I went on my daily errands. The powder has medium coverage and immediately evens out my skin tone and conceal the redness with one swipe.

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow 80 Creamy Beige I’ve always liked Maybelline’s 24 Hour Tattoo ever since they launched the first batch of shades a few years ago. For New York Fashion Week, they have a new shade called Creamy Beige. From the pot, it looks like a beautiful neutral mocha brown color. But when swatches, it actually is even more beautiful with tiny gold shimmer going through the entire pot. It’s so perfect as an eyeshadow base and it can totally be worn alone for a light wash of color topped with a dark brown liner for daytime and black for night time. The consistency is creamy but dries quick enough and the product stays on well.

Maybelline Colorsensational Bold Matte 1, 4 & 5 Maybelline offers a stellar lipstick line in different shades and finishes at an affordable price tag. But, only mattes made it to the curated collection for NYFW. Matte 5 is a cherry red, Matte 4 is an orange red, and Matte 1 is a pinkish red. My only gripe about this line is that the formula is a hardly matte finish. It’s actually more of a satin finish. And it’s not as pigmented as a regular matte lipstick should be. However, the formula is still great on its own. It’s just not matte and can easily be part of their regular line. The shades of red can be worn by different women and are perfect for women who want to wear red in a more subtle manner.

Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Liner 02 Brown This is probably my favorite from the bunch because I’m so into brown liners right now. I used to wear only black liners but it was only this year when I discovered the amazing fabulousness of brown liners. Unlike black eyeliners, brown liners are so much more subtle but still emphasizes the eyes perfectly. Maybelline’s gel liner in 02 brown is a gorgeous shade of chestnut brown made even mroe complex with fine micro shimmer. It matches the Color Tattoo 24 Hour Eyeshadow in creamy beige like a hand fits a glove. The consistency and staying power of this liner is also spot on. I definitely recommend this product to everyone because a makeup kit isn’t complete without a brown liner. ;)

Kiss and Blush with YSL’s Babydoll Kiss and Blush #8 Pink Hedoniste

    DSCF4658

When YSL came out with it’s Kiss & Blush lip and cheek many months ago, I knew right away that I wanted to have it. But it came with a hefty price tag and it took me a while before I finally caved into its good gloriousness. A friend of mine was studying in New York for the summer and asked me if I had wanted anything from the States. Of course, my mind immediately took my away to the glistening aisles of Sephora. The first thing I needed to have on my list was YSL because we don’t have it here in the Philippines.. yet! 2 weeks later and my friend dropped it off my house. I was too giddy.  I mean, nothing bad can ever come out of a shiny black Sephora bag!

    DSCF4655

    Product

The YSL Kiss and Blush comes in the most alluring packaging that mimics a nail polish bottle. The wand handle is embraced in a beautiful gold material for the ultimate fabuluxe effect.

    DSCF4658

    DSCF4651

The sponge-tip wand has a spring-ey design that is perfect for applying the product without too much intensity on the cheeks. While the arrow shape of the wand is also ideal in applying the product on the lips seamlessly. The wand isn’t too big, considering that my lips are thinner than an average girl’s lip.

    DSCF4668

    Shade

    DSCF4687

The shade is a gorgeous cool toned peachy-baby-pink. But the shade’s more baby pink with a touch of peach in it. The shade suits my skin beautifully and gives me a very youthful rosey glow.

    Formula, Texture and Application

The formula is done perfectly with a light, mousse-y texture. The product itself has the right amount of pigmentation due to its light mousse-y texture.

    DSCF5071

I normally lightly swipe on a small amount of product on each cheek and blend it out using my fingers or a regular synthetic fiber brush. Regardless of the method I use, it blends into the skin like a daydream. I also use the applicator to dab some product onto my lips or use my ring finger to apply it on my lips depending on my mind.

    Longevity

Because of its formula, it’s not entirely sweat proof and fades after 4 hours under the humid Manila weather. I don’t mind reapplying.

    Overall

    DSCF5060

    DSCF5051

Overall, the YSL Kiss and Blush perfectly marries two of it’s features which are design and function. Hands down, the product is GORGEOAAS! And it efficiently delivers its promise as a 2-in-1-makeup product. Some prefer to use it only for the cheeks but I like the subtle color it gives to my lips. It’s not exactly groundbreaking, but I personally adore this product and in the end, it all comes down to personal preferences.

I think the only possible setbacks this product may have with some people are the following:

    1. The product is something that germaphobes might not like due to the design of the applicator
    2. The steep price tag

    What do you think?

Review: Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick in Impulsive

    DSCF8669

DSCF3253When I was a little girl, I used to sneak into my grandmother’s elaborate makeup counter every time she was out of the house. Rows and rows of lipsticks and lip liners dazzled my big beady eyes. She had a couple of foundations and eyeshadows here and there. Some of the brands that remained constants in her collection were Estee Lauder, Clinique, and Shu Uemura. I remember fondly how the Estee Lauder Night Repair serum was a consistent staple in her collection. Many years later, I got into makeup and explore many brands. But I never got to explore Estee Lauder because I always thought it was a high-end brand that caters to more mature women. It also didn’t help that Estee Lauder products then had a distinct smell I didn’t agree with. It was only until recently that Estee has been making a lot of buzz on my social media feeds, locally and internationally. Of course, like a normal human being, I wanted to join the wagon as well.

Imagine my utter delight when I received a little blue paper bag with gold details complete with a lavish navy blue ribbon to seal the deal. I was ecstatic in every sense of the word. After all, the moment was sorta like a milestone for me: having my first Estee Lauder Lipstick. Find out whether I’m going to stay or hop off the “I Love Estee” train below!

    Product

    DSCF8671

Estee Lauder lipsticks has done away with the elegant gold packaging with protruded lines all over and has transformed it into sleek blue bullets with touches of gold for subtle, understated elegance. I love how it has a subtantiable weight making it feel sturdy luxurious. My bet is that the magnetic cap feature adds to the weight of the product.

Estee Lauder’s Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick line promises 6-hour wear, and high pigmentation.

    Shade and Pigmentation

    DSCF8681

Impulsive looks like a cool toned muted ballerina pink lipstick from the tube but registers as a warm ballerina pink on my lips. Under natural light, I love how it looks on me. But under muted yellow light it doesn’t really suit me. Weird, eh? Note to self: avoid yellow light when wearing this. Teehee. I’ve been under the spell of neutral pinks and nudes for the longest time I can remember but this shade doesn’t come close to any of the lipsticks in my collection.

    DSCF8741

The Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy boasts of high pigmentation lipsticks but I noticed that Impulsive doesn’t scream high pigmentation on its first swipe. One swipe reveals traces of my natural lip color but two swipes does the trick. It should be noted though that I have one of the lightest shades from the line but I’ve swatched other shades from the line and plenty of them were quite pigmented.

    Texture, Finish, Formulation and Longevity

I have perpetually dry lips so I make sure to hydrate my lips as much as I can before I apply ANY kind of lipstick. This extra step has always worked for me and has always helped me maximize the potential of the wear of any lipstick.

    DSCF8732

After my lips have been hydrated, Impulsive glides on my lips like butter, without the grease. And hugs my lips like a perfectly fitted glove. The texture is creamy but not enough for it to slip and slide on the lips. Its finish has a slight sheen but the sheen is a notch down as compared to MAC Creemesheens.

As for hydration, it’s not the most hydrating lipstick but it definitely doesn’t cause my lips to peel or crack over time. I’m okay with it not being too hydrating because I don’t want it to have more sheen and shorter wear time.

    DSCF8703

Despite the medium amount of moisture this lipstick has, it stays on pretty well. But it won’t survive a full meal without needing reinforcements after.

    Final Thoughts

First of all, 100 points to Estee Lauder for successfully winning over a younger market. The repackaging of their products as a whole has definitely added Estee to my list of brands to look out for.

Overall, I’m loving my first Estee Lauder lipstick a lot. So much so that I find myself reach for it 3 days of the 5 days I wear makeup in a week. It’s applies and stays beautifully, easy to wear, and keeps my lips hydrated enough not to peel. The only qualm I imagine people may have with this is that it’s not as pigmented as its other counterparts from the Pure Color Envy Line. I personally don’t mind because a second swipe to achieve the look I want doesn’t really hurt me.

With that said, I’m definitely going to be on the “I Love Estee Lauder” train for good!

What’s your favorite shade from the line? :) Let me know!
