    Cinderella Part 1

    153

I posted a question a few days back in my facebook page and asked if people wanted to see photos from my debut even if I’m 5 months late. A lot of people responded and wanted me to post them so here they are! :)

I wanna thank my brilliant photographers Kara Chung, Migs Santiago and Jonas Tamayo for capturing these priceless memories! They’re all fellow students from the same university I go to and I don’t think I could have found people who are more perfect for the job. :)

Since I had 3 photographers and I have a LOOOOT of photos, I’ve decided to split the post into 3 parts. This first post will feature Kara and Jonas’ Photos while the second post will contain Mig’s photos. Finally the last part will feature my 3 minute debut video. :D

Yes my dress was SEE THROUGH! It just wasn’t so obvious when I wore it because my skin matched the cloth of the dress. hehe

My handsome lil brother with his introductory speech!

    My sisters for life!

    My late Taima. <3

    le Fam Bam!

My young and hip grandpa AKA “pops”. :)

    11:11 Crew Hard at work!

    Suck and Blow.

I love how my college friends are so game for anything!

    MGC Batchmates!

    HAPPY. :)

    my gorge becky friend, Martin!

    HAHA

    Love these boys!

    En/lit block!

    sarap lang ng feather hahaha!

I chose the title “Cinderella” because I really felt like a princess on my debut. Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve had the generic wish just like most girls and it was to be a princess when I grew up. Cinderella has always been my favorite Disney princess and I remember watching my VHS of the movie over and over again ! Thanks to my parents and to the people who attended, I was able to live that dream even just for a night and it’s something I won’t ever forget. :)

    2013

    OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

My 2nd day for 2013 was very well spent! I went out with 2 of my girlfriends from my High School barkada and my guy bestie who’s now studying abroad! My high school barkada’s favorite past time is EATING! We don’t go clubbing and bond over yummy food and funny conversations instead! For our mini reunion, my friend Jemimah suggested that we visit the Mind Museum at the Fort.
I’m glad that I was with good company when I visited the museum. :) My experience was made so much more memorable because I was with my friends! :)

I look like a giant in this photo!

    MY OOTD:

Corset from a bazaar, shorts from HnM

clutch from a friend, shoes from Payless, watch from Michael Kors, leather bracelet from a friend

    Blazer from HnM

HE HE I kept on trying to create a huge bubble but the wind was too strong. :(

My friends almost always let me choose where we eat! I was researching on places to eat while I was getting ready to leave and I had Wild Flour in mind! I forgot to take the address down. Good thing The Mind Museum offers free wifi AND their information counter is very helpful! We walked to Wild Flower from the Mind Museum! :)

    Banh Mi Sliders

    Croque Madame

    steak and eggs

    California Burger

Jem (the slowest eater), Ralph (the bottomless pit), yours truly, Kristine (best photog ever)! :)

The food was really good! Another thing I love when eating out with my girlfriends is that we always share what we order! I got to try everything and I can’t pick my favorite dish. Everything was soo yummy! For dessert, we walked all the way to High Street for The Cake Club! It was so windy and we wanted to “burn” what we ate. :)

my fave, Ispahan (raspberrie and lychee macaroon! )

    Vanessa

    HI ;;)

reacting over something that my friend ralph did with our social netwrok accounts. haha.

Great food + amaaazing company: YES PLEASE! I can’t wait to make more memories this year! :)

    LOTD: Farewell, 2012

    _D4C1452

    Happy New Year!

    My last LOTD of 2012:

Top from a Bazaar and leggings from HnM.

    Earrings from Yhansy

    Aldo Bag

Believe leather cuff from a friend || Watch from a friend

I know I’m late but I’ve been busy with all the holiday preparations and I wanted to relax and be away from the world. ha ha. 2012 has got to be one of the most amazing years I’ve ever had. It was such an AMAZING year filled with memories that I’ll cherish for the rest of my life. Here are some of the moments and people who have made my 2012 special. :) I wrote about my last LOTD before this because the content of this post from here on is a teeny bit photo heavy. ;)

    1.  This was the year when I finally put up my own beauty blog with my own domain name in August

              2. This was the year when I was able to go two of THE most magical cities I’ve ever been to: New York and New Orleans.

NY 2012. I chose this photo because there are too many Times Square photos already! Also, this house looks similar to the houses I see in movies! It looks like Charlotte’s house from SATC, don’t you think? :)

    New Orleans 2012.

              3. I joined two orgs: AJMA and Tugon. Both of which I love dearly!

With the most down to earth diva ever, Alex Dayrit! <3

In an awareness talk for Tugon with Ms. Risa Hontiveros.

              4. These girls <3

I got closer to this pretty lady beside me who’s like a big sister to me, Daryl Chan! I have THREE first somethings with this fabulous woman!

The girl who always knows what to say when I have a problem, JB! <3 (I don’t have a neck but we look cute here hehehe)

The most multi-talented girl I know, Kara and Justine! :)

Nikki and Poki! <3 my wooovs. heehee.

    My sister in takaw-ness, Abi V. <3

    Martin Tuanquin! :)

    Kally and Ericka! :)

              5. I started my own bag line, panini stall, and online accessory shop!

    Curated Manila

    New York Minute Paninis

    Sweet Escape

              6. I went to my first halloween party!

              7. These boys.

With Josh! heehee repeat photo. It’s our only decent solo photo together. :) So many firsts with this boy! One of them would be shooting my first gun everrr. teehee.

              8. I had my debut. :)

              9. I gained the highest award I’ve ever received in my dancing career.

             10. I FINALLY got to see my husband up close and personal. <333

              11. My girlies!!!!! and boy.

Wouldn’t have gotten through the year without these girlies!

Cheers to meeting new people and making new memories this 2013! <3

    Supersale Bazaar: LOTD + Haul

    OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

My mini bag line Curated Manila had a booth at the Supersale Bazaar which was recently held at the World Trade Center. We were there for 5 days and I basically shopped everyday I was there. I just couldn’t help it!!! One of my major pet peeves when I go shopping in bazaars is not getting to see everything that’s on sale. I’m glad that I was able to take my time to look around the whole bazaar. I feel like I already knew it by heart after 5 days exploring it. ;) ha ha.

I’ve been thinking about wether or not to post a haul post because I did not want to seem like I’m bragging. However, based on the views from the last haul post, it seems like people like haul posts! So here are the items that I was able to accumulate from the bazaars in 5 days:

I bought more clothes than makeup because I realized that I’ve been spending too much money on makeup and I’m running out of clothes!

    My top three purchases:

This has to be my favorite purchase! It’s a super cute “lock” thing that binds wires. I use it to bind the wires of my gadgets such as my phone charger wire, Ipod connector wire, etc.

This is my second fave purchase! This pair of heels make my legs look thin plus I got the seller to give me a pretty nice discount. :)

My third fave purchase! I find this sooo cute and unique! The owner of the booth does on the spot made to order bracelets and necklaces in the same style. They have lots of colors to choose from but I chose this jewel tone color to match the holiday season. :)

Here are the makeup items that I bought. I LOVE eyeshadow palettes! I’m very excited to review my newest palette from UD which is the limited edition Alice in Wonderland Palette. This was released a  while back and I got so excited when I saw it in the bazaar. <3

Here’s what I wore to the first day of the Bazaar:

Top from F21 || shoes from Payless

     shorts from f21

    Bag from Curated Manila

gold ring from a bazaar, mint ring from F21, watch from Casio

Did you guys go to the bazaar? What did you haul? :)

    Inspire Me

    189209_4359657902498_1651537858_n

A lot of you may be wondering about the title of this post and what it means. I’ve just been doing so much work for school, my orgs, and my mini business ventures. Sometimes I can’t help but feel like an animal in a farm accomplishing one task after another without any clear idea of why I’m doing them. Sometimes, we get so busy and we begin to lose our purpose without even noticing. So I’ve been taking my time trying to re-align my end goals, remember why I committed myself to my obligations and re-inspire myself. It’s important to be keep being inspired because this is when all the burden we carry from the hard work begins to feel like feathers on our backs. :)

Anyway, a few days back, my photographer friend, Agi told me that she wanted to shoot me and my friend Justine out of the blue. I immediately agreed because it meant me getting a free OOTD shoot! I absolutely HATE taking photos because I find it so hard to take nice photos and this is why I always agree when a photographer friends offers to take my photos. :)

Here’e what I wore to school that day:

    Shoes from Tutum.

Top and tank from Nava. Skirt from F21.

Necklace and neon bracelet from a bazaar.

Watch from Michael Kors. Bag from Curated Manila.

Mini friendship photoshoot with my closest friend in college, Justine Burgos!!!! :)

Justine’s wearing the most gorgeous belt which was given to her by her tita. I think her tita got it from a thrift store or market/bazaar abroad! :)

She’s my sister, mommy, my everything. <3 No seriously, I don’t know how my college life would be without this amazing girl beside me!!!!!

With a very talented friend/the gurl behind the lens, Agnes Wang! I look like a retard here but Agi looks amazing so fine. :) ha ha.

    Revel Magazine Feature: Holiday Belters

    76415_10151295562133809_602891320_n

    Hello dear readers!

I’ve been waiting to put up this post because I am so kilig  to have been given the chance to participate in my very first magazine feature! :) My talented photographer friend Jonas Tamayo recently collaborated with Revel Magazine, an online mag and he invited me to be featured in his entry as a guest photographer/contributor.

I was featured in the fourth installment in one of the magazine’s fashion segments called Cloest Diaries. They were doing a feature on belts and here’s my look! :)

Top from HnM, gray tank from Nava, shorts from F21, watch from Michael Kors, Necklace from St. Francis Square

Looking at the photos now totally make me regret not wearing more makeup because I look like I just woke up! HAHAHA. These were taken in school and I got lazy to fix my face. teehee

I actually don’t know how to explain my outfit. I just put random pieces from my closet together and this was what I was able to produce. :) I actually like how it turned out. What do you think? :)

    Shoes from Tribute Shoes :)

Click here to read the full article. I wanna thank Jonas Tamayo for inviting me and taking my photo. Check out his portfolio here.  :) Special thanks to Lauren Laudico who wrote the article! :)

    Baguio Day 2: Food Trip

    OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

It’s a common fact for people who know me that I LOVE food. Travelling for me is mainly about trying out new food and adventure but FOOD outweighs everything! The most disappointing thing that could happen to me when travelling is going to a beautiful place that has bad food. This is one of the reasons why I don’t like joining tour groups when I go abroad because the budget for food is usually low and the food usually doesn’t taste good. BOO. ha ha.

Anyway when I went to Baguio with my family, I spent time researching on the local food joints in the area and tried to maximize the time we had there by going to as much restaurants we could! Here’s my day 2 and 3 in photos!

Brunch at Cafe by the Ruins!

I actually thought that Cafe by the Ruins was literally a cafe beside some sort of tourist spot containing ruins of some sort of historical landmark. I asked Martin, a Baguio local and our tour guide for the day where the ruins were and he told me that there are no ruins! HA HA. I researched further and found out that Cafe by the Ruins used to be the house of an American Civil governor until it was destroyed during the World War 2. However, the owners of Cafe by the ruins preserved some of the walls from the home of the American Civil governor. :)

    Matching shoes with martin! :)

    kamote bread with guava jam

Sorry, my family attacked the food before I even got to take a decent photo. teehee.

Lemon cream pasta with grilled chicken

I loved this the most. :)

Martin got this enormous fresh lumpia! I didn’t get to taste it cuz I was too full already.

Lemon grass drink with honey for Martin! The cafe offers free wifi so Martin and I stayed at the cafe for the rest of the day because I needed to catch up on my org work and of course catch up on all the chikas!

    Blended Iced Coffee for me.

     Dinner at Hillstation.

Crushed nuts and olive oil for the bread

    Super cute pumpkin lantern!

We went to this quaint little bookstore conveniently connected to the restuarant called Mt Cloud Bookshop. It was so hipster and cute! I love exploring hole-in-the wall looking places like this bookstore. I don’t think i’m hipster though! ha ha ha. Seriously.

Super pretty walkway! Gah, I really hate my outfit here. I regret wearing it so much. :(

    Moroccan Spiced Baby Back Ribs

    Crispy Duck Flakes

    Short Rib Ragu with Fettuccine

Sorry, but this tasted like noodles in a beef broth soup. I love noodle dishes but I was disappointed with this. :(

    Indian Lamb Curry

Lechon Kawali with Laing sa Gata

My favorite dish of the bunch! Amidst all the fancy food, this was the one that I enjoyed the most! It’s a simple fried crispy belly (lecho kawali) dish but I liked it. :)

Artisan Ice Crem sampler! Some of the super unique flavors were Dark Chocolate with Cayenne, Benguet Coffee with Choco Chips, Vanilla Cinnamon, Mango Rum, and Dulce de Leche.

    Death by Chocolate Cake.

This was AMAZING. It tasted like a molten lava cake with vanilla Ice Cream. The chocolate was a bit sweet but I like sweet. :)

Martin and I spend the rest of the night at the techno hub in Camp John Hay for coffee and hot chocolate!

    DAY 3:

Lunch at  O’ MAI KHAN for lunch. Martin says that it’s the most famous mongolian rice place in Baguio.

    my bowl

With my beloved granny and lil bro. :)

With the prettiest tour guide ever! Yes, I’m wearing slippers. We were going home already and I wanted to feel comfortable in the car. teehee.

Baguio used to be my happy place because of all the childhood memories I have of the place. Going back as a teen made me fall in love with the place again because of the food, the quaint restaurants and cozy coffee shops! I especially loved going to the different coffee shops where I was able to just relax enjoy the cool weather, food, company. I definitely wanna go back and explore more of Baguio soon. :)

    What I’ve Been Up To

    OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I was on a very short hiatus until recently because I’ve relocated my mini Panini Stall to Mezza Norte (near UP technohub). My panini stall was conceptualized around July this year! I went to New York for the first time this summer and I wanted to incorporate a New York theme into the conceptualization of my items and menu. All the items in my menu are inspired by different elements of New York and my friend Justine helped me with naming some my menu items! :)

We were active for a week until I decided to wait and look for better location for my panini stall. About three weeks ago, God has proven to me once again how faithful and amazing He is by allowing me to finally have a stall in Mezza Norte! I waited roughly three months just to get my application processed and by His grace I am now finally able to let people taste the delicious paninis that I truly BELIEVE in (drama much? ha ha ha.)!

Ever since we got in, I’ve been attending to my stall every night, meeting wonderful people and being inspired by the people I meet. I was also reminded by how supportive my friends and family are. I’ve been selling paninis every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 6pm-3am and it’s really tiring especially since I have class on Friday and Saturday. What’s been encouraging me to keep pushing for this is the never-ending support of my friends, family, and of course the customers who have been giving me good feedback on the paninis. Nothing satisfies me more than seeing customers go back to my stall even a week after they buy from my stall.

Here are some photos of some of my memorable moments from these past few weeks!

Jeff with his Empire Steak Panini!

Josh and I with the one and only Ramon Bautista! I look stressed out here but I’m with Ramon Bautista so… KEBS.

My best friend in Mezza Norte, Paul who is also the owner of Wrap Battle.

With Lourd Veyra from the band Radio Active Sago Project.

My fabulous friends, Justine (justeen) and Justin (as in justin bieber) Hahaha.

Me holding a snake from a group of exotic animal enthusiasts! They told me that they’d buy from me if I touched their pet snake. lol.

    Customer-turned-friend, Lance!

With my talented and supportive friend Aj. He created the graphic design for my menu in one night! Check out his works here.

    Selling to customers! :)

Arguably the prettiest becky in the Ateneo, Martin Tuanquin! <3

Josh working his charm in selling to this lovely customer! hehe.

Model turned singer for a night, Anton! HEEHEE. (He sang Yellow :> )

With one fo the cutest barkadas I’ve ever met! Andre, Monnik (who recently celebrated her birthday) and of course the driver/wingman/bodyguard/amazing friend, Anton. :)

    With the whole group! hehe

With a leaner Miggy :> He’s sporting a new look which I don’t love but I’m still supporting it cuz he’s such an amazing friend. ;)
